Ryobi ONE+ HP 18V Brushless 1/2 in. Hammer Drill (Tool Only)

Model number
PBLHM102B

The Ryobi PBLHM102B is the next-generation ONE+ HP brushless hammer drill, stepping up from the PBLHM101B with 850 in-lbs of torque (vs. 750 on the prior model) and 34,400 BPM (vs. 31,000), making it noticeably more capable in dense masonry. The upgraded all-metal keyless chuck replaces the prior ratcheting metal design for improved bit retention under heavy hammer loads. A 2-speed gearbox (0–700 / 0–2,150 RPM) and 24-position clutch handle everything from delicate fastening to aggressive concrete drilling. This bare-tool version pairs with any existing ONE+ 18V battery; the PBLHM102K1 is the kit option.

§ FAQ

How is the PBLHM102B different from the PBLHM101B?

The PBLHM102B is the next-generation model with higher torque (850 vs. 750 in-lbs), higher BPM (34,400 vs. 31,000), faster top speed in high gear (2,150 vs. 2,100 RPM), and an all-metal keyless chuck instead of the ratcheting metal design. It also weighs slightly more (3.1 vs. 2.9 lbs).

Does the PBLHM102B come with a battery?

No. It is a bare tool with no battery or charger. For a complete kit, see the PBLHM102K1, which includes a 4.0 Ah HIGH PERFORMANCE battery, charger, and bag.

What is the benefit of an all-metal keyless chuck?

An all-metal chuck is more durable than composite or ratcheting designs under the heavy vibration of hammer mode. It is less likely to loosen or crack when repeatedly hammering into hard masonry.

Can the PBLHM102B drill into concrete?

Yes. At 34,400 BPM it performs well in concrete, brick, and CMU block with standard hammer drill bits. For sustained heavy-duty concrete anchor work, using a HIGH PERFORMANCE battery (2.0 Ah or above) is recommended.

Is the PBLHM102B compatible with my Ryobi ONE+ batteries?

Yes. It accepts all 18V ONE+ batteries including standard and HIGH PERFORMANCE cells. A larger-capacity battery (4.0 Ah) provides the best sustained performance during hammer drilling.
