Ring Stick Up Cam Elite (PoE) — 1080p HD Wired Indoor/Outdoor Security Camera with Power over Ethernet

Model number
stick-up-security-camera-elite-poe

The Ring Stick Up Cam Elite is a Power over Ethernet (PoE) indoor/outdoor security camera that delivers both power and internet connectivity through a single Ethernet cable — eliminating battery charging, Wi-Fi dead zones, and separate power cabling in one solution. The included PoE Adapter (for indoor installation) converts standard AC power to PoE and connects to your router via Ethernet, which then runs to the camera. The camera records 1080p HD video with a wide 150° horizontal by 85° vertical field of view, Advanced Motion Detection with customizable motion zones, Color Night Vision, and Two-Way Talk with noise cancellation. A built-in mounting bracket supports flat-surface, wall, and ceiling placement without additional accessories. IP55 weather-resistant for indoor and outdoor use. Note: as of 2024–2025, Ring has discontinued the Stick Up Cam Elite as a new product; limited stock may remain. A Ring Protect subscription is required for video history; Live View is always free.

§ FAQ

What is Power over Ethernet (PoE) and why would I choose it over Wi-Fi?

Power over Ethernet (PoE) delivers both electrical power and network data through a single standard Ethernet cable. With the Stick Up Cam Elite, the PoE Adapter plugs into your router with an Ethernet cable on one side and a short Ethernet cable runs from the adapter to the camera. This eliminates the need for both a nearby power outlet and a Wi-Fi connection — which makes the Elite ideal for locations with weak Wi-Fi signal, areas where cable runs are acceptable (such as garages or commercial spaces), or installations where maximum connection reliability is critical. There are no battery charges and no wireless interference concerns.

Can the Stick Up Cam Elite also connect over Wi-Fi?

Yes. The Stick Up Cam Elite supports both Ethernet (via the PoE Adapter) and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi at 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz as a fallback or alternative connection method. You can use Wi-Fi if Ethernet is not available in the camera's final location, though PoE is the recommended and more reliable connection mode.

Is the Stick Up Cam Elite still available to purchase?

As of 2024–2025, Ring has discontinued the Stick Up Cam Elite. It may still be found through third-party sellers or Ring's certified refurbished inventory, but it is no longer produced or sold as a new unit from Ring directly. If you need a wired PoE camera with a Ring experience, check Ring's current lineup — some models now support PoE+ via separate converter mount accessories.

Does the PoE Adapter need to be placed indoors?

Yes. The PoE Adapter is rated for indoor use only (-4°F to 122°F). The camera itself is IP55 weather-resistant and suitable for outdoor use, but the adapter must be located inside — typically near your router, network switch, or a wall-mounted electrical box. Ethernet cable of CAT5 or higher runs from the adapter to the camera.

Does the Stick Up Cam Elite include a built-in siren?

No. Unlike the battery and plug-in Stick Up Cam variants (Outdoor Cam / Outdoor Cam Plus), the Elite does not include a remote-activated siren. It does include Two-Way Talk with noise cancellation and the full Ring app experience for Live View, motion alerts, and video history (subscription required).
