§ FAQ

Does the XRJ06Z require special 36V batteries?

No. The XRJ06Z uses two standard Makita 18V LXT batteries (one per slot) to achieve 36V equivalent power. Any Makita 18V LXT battery with the Star symbol is compatible. Higher Ah batteries will provide more run time per charge.

Does the XRJ06Z include batteries?

No. The XRJ06Z is a tool-only SKU — both batteries and charger are sold separately. For a complete kit with two 5.0Ah batteries and a dual-port charger, see the XRJ06PT.

What are the two speed settings?

Low speed is 0-2,300 SPM, suited for controlled cuts in metal, pipe, and precision demolition. High speed is 0-3,000 SPM for maximum cutting speed in wood and aggressive demolition. Both settings feature variable-speed trigger control.

How heavy is the XRJ06Z with two batteries installed?

With two batteries installed, the XRJ06Z weighs 10.2 lbs. With two lighter batteries (such as 2.0Ah), the overall weight will be somewhat lower. For lighter-weight 36V-class cutting, there is currently no direct substitute in the Makita LXT lineup.

What blade is included with the XRJ06Z?

The XRJ06Z ships with one 6 in. 18TPI metal-cutting reciprocating saw blade. It accepts all standard universal-shank blades for wood, metal, demolition, and pipe applications.
