How does the ET250 differ from the ET60?

ET250 adds an LCD screen with numeric voltage readout, continuity testing with audible beep, and GFCI outlet testing. ET60 is simpler and fully self-powered — no batteries needed. ET250 requires 3 AAA batteries but gives you a measurable voltage figure and additional test functions.

Can the ET250 test GFCI outlets?

Yes — the ET250 includes a GFCI test mode that simulates a fault to trip the GFCI and confirm protection is active. It's one of the lower-cost options for verifying GFCI function without a dedicated outlet tester.

What does continuity testing mean in practice?

Connect the probes across both ends of a wire, fuse, or connection. The ET250 beeps when current can flow without interruption, confirming the path is complete. A silent result means there's a break somewhere in the circuit.

Does it measure DC voltage?
