Klein Tools 3/16 in. x 100 ft. Non-Conductive Fiberglass Fish Tape

Model number
56024

The Klein Tools 56024 is a 100-foot non-conductive fiberglass fish tape measuring 3/16 inch wide. The non-conductive fiberglass body and non-conductive eyelet tip together provide added protection against shock from energized sources. Permanent laser-etched 1-foot descending increments on the tape allow accurate measurement of conduit run depth. The lightweight, strong fiberglass tape resists harsh elements and is strength-rated up to 500 pulling pounds. The 13-inch reel diameter and 3.1 lb total weight suit commercial and residential wire-pulling applications. Made in the USA. This product is no longer in production.

§ FAQ

Is the 56024 still available?

The 56024 (100-foot non-conductive fiberglass tape) has been discontinued. The current multi-groove non-conductive fiberglass tapes — 56382 (50 ft, nylon tip) and 56383 (100 ft, nylon tip) — provide fully non-conductive construction with the additional benefit of the multi-groove profile.

What replaces the 56024?

The 56383 (multi-groove fiberglass, nylon tip, 100 ft) is the direct functional replacement — same non-conductive construction at 100 feet, adding the multi-groove profile that reduces friction in occupied conduit.

What improvement does the current line offer over the 56024?

The multi-groove profile on the 56383 reduces friction against existing conductors in occupied conduit, making it easier to advance and retrieve compared to the flat profile on the 56024. Non-conductive construction is the same on both.
