Klein Tools 100 ft. (30.5 m) Nylon Fish Tape

Model number
56012

The Klein Tools 56012 is a 100-foot nylon composite fish tape designed for flexibility and easy navigation through conduit runs. The non-conductive nylon tape slides easily over existing wires and through multiple bends without conducting electricity. Lightweight and strong, the nylon composite tape resists harsh elements and is strength-rated up to 200 pulling pounds. The 13-inch case diameter allows 15 percent more tape to be reeled in per revolution compared to a standard 12-inch case. Made in the USA. This product is no longer in production.

§ FAQ

Is the 56012 nylon fish tape still available?

The 56012 (100 ft nylon) has been discontinued. The current equivalent is the 50376 (high-flex polyester, 150 ft), which provides 50% more reach with similar lightweight, flexible, non-conductive construction.

What replaced the 56012?

The 50376 (high-flex polyester, 150 ft). For users who needed 100 feet of lightweight flexible non-conductive tape, the 50376 covers that range and extends to 150 feet.

What is the key difference between nylon and the current polyester tape?

Klein's 3-strand braided polyester (50376) feeds more smoothly than the extruded nylon on the 56012 — electrician reviewers describe it as 'like butter' in conduit. Braided construction also distributes wear across multiple strands, improving durability.
