Klein Tools 1/8 in. x 125 ft. Steel Fish Tape

Model number
56003

The Klein Tools 56003 is a 125-foot, 1/8-inch wide high-strength spring steel fish tape for long conduit runs in commercial and residential applications. The tape is stiff for long runs and suited to heavy-duty wire pulls. Laser-etched descending 1-foot increment markings assist conduit depth measurement and tape payout tracking. A full-grip style handle with raised finger grips and a uniquely sloped design optimizes hand position for quick hand-over-hand rewinds. Polypropylene case and handle provide maximum shock and impact resistance. Succeeded by the 56333. No longer in production.

§ FAQ

Is the 56003 still available?

The 56003 has been discontinued. The closest current replacement is the 56333 (1/8-inch x 120-foot steel tape), which covers the same application with a 5-foot shorter run length.

What replaced the 56003?

The 56333 at 120 feet is the current standard for mid-length steel tape pulls. For longer runs, the 56334 (240 ft) is the next step up.

Does the 5-foot difference between 125 ft and 120 ft matter in practice?

For the vast majority of conduit runs, no — 5 feet is within normal tape reserve margin. If you specifically require 125 feet of reach, confirm the 56333's 120-foot length is sufficient before purchasing.
