Klein Tools 15 ft. Glow Rod Set

Model number
56102

The Klein Tools 56102 is a 15-foot glow rod set made from luminescent fiberglass that charges in ambient light and glows in the dark to illuminate dark work areas. The 3/16-inch diameter rods provide mid-range flexibility suited to most fishing applications including tight bends and narrow openings. Individual sections connect end-to-end via beveled threaded connectors that resist snagging on obstructions. Intended for routing wire above ceilings, through wall cavities, under carpets, and across raised floors. Product has been discontinued by the manufacturer.

§ FAQ

The 56102 is discontinued — what is the current replacement?

The 50152 (15 ft. Mid-Flex Glow Rod) and 50153 (15 ft. Lo-Flex Glow Rod) are the current equivalents. Both include the same glow coating as the 56102 but add improved Splinter Guard fiberglass construction and compatibility with the full range of Klein rod accessories.

What flex rating did the 56102 use?

The 56102 was a general-purpose glow rod set without a specific flex rating designation. The current 50152 (mid-flex) is the closest functional equivalent for most general-purpose 15-foot runs.

Are 56102 rods still useful with a current Klein tip kit?

If the 56102 rods are in good condition, tips from the SRS56980 or SRS56981 will thread onto the connectors for continued use. However, the new rods offer glow coatings, Splinter Guard protection, and defined flex ratings that the older set lacks.
