Klein Tools 24 ft. Fish Rod Set

Model number
56101

The Klein Tools 56101 is a 24-foot fish rod set built from 1/4-inch diameter fiberglass that provides flexibility with sufficient rigidity for extended-reach wire runs. Individual sections connect end-to-end via beveled threaded connectors designed to resist snagging on obstructions in wall cavities and above ceilings. The set includes one steel bullet nose tip and one J-hook accessory for attaching and retrieving wire. Suitable for routing wire above ceilings, through walls, under carpets, and across raised floors. Product has been discontinued by the manufacturer.

§ FAQ

The 56101 is discontinued — what should I buy instead?

For a 24-foot reach, combine sections from the current lo-flex or mid-flex glow rod line: three 50103 (10 ft lo-flex) sections give 30 feet, or mix 50103 + 50053 for exactly 25 feet. For a complete set with tips, the SRS56980 (33 ft, 19-piece) is the closest direct replacement and includes more tip accessories than the original 56101.

Did the 56101 include glow-in-dark rods?

No. The 56101 was a standard non-glow fish rod set. Current equivalents in the 50xxx series all include glow coatings, which improves visibility in dark plenums and attic spaces.

Can I still buy tips and accessories compatible with the 56101?

If your 56101 sections still function, tips from the current Klein line (from the SRS56980 or SRS56981 kits) will fit the threaded connectors. Klein's connector threading has been consistent across the product generations.
