Klein Tools® 30 ft. Lo-Flex Glow Rod

Model number
50303

The Klein Tools 50303 Lo-Flex Glow Rod assembles six 5-foot fiberglass sections to a full 30-foot rod, providing maximum rigidity for long-span straight wire runs in walls, floors, and ceilings. The bright-orange Splinter Guard glow coating identifies lo-flex rods instantly in dark attics and crawl spaces. Stainless steel connectors join all Klein fish rod sections universally. Includes a flex adapter for smooth transition to mid- or hi-flex rods, plus bullet nose and hook attachments. Diameter is 1/4 inch. Suitable for residential and commercial wiring, conduit routing, and cable installation.

§ FAQ

Why would I use a single 30-foot lo-flex rod instead of assembling shorter sections?

A continuous 30-foot rod like the 50303 has no mid-run connector joints to snag on obstructions or gap at conduit seams. For long, straight plenum or under-slab runs where you know the path is clear, a single rod pushes more smoothly than a chain of sections. The tradeoff is that a 30-foot rod is less convenient to transport and store.

Does the 50303 glow in the dark?

Yes. The full 30-foot length is coated with photoluminescent material that charges in ambient light. For a 30-foot push through a dark plenum, the glow helps confirm the rod is advancing and guides retrieval.

Is a lo-flex rod the right choice for a 30-foot run?

Lo-flex is ideal for 30-foot runs that are straight and unobstructed — long ceiling pushes over suspended grids, under raised computer room floors, or through open attic spans. If your 30-foot run includes multiple turns, build the equivalent length from a multi-flex set instead.

Can I connect additional sections to the 50303 when I need more than 30 feet?

Yes. The threaded connector on the 50303 is compatible with all current Klein fish rod sections. Thread on a 50051, 50052, or additional lo-flex sections to extend past 30 feet.

What warranty does Klein provide on the 50303?

The 50303 carries Klein Tools' Lifetime Warranty, covering defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is consistent across the Klein wire installation tool line.
