Klein Tools® CL800 600A AC/DC Auto-Ranging TRMS Digital Clamp Meter with LoZ

Model number
CL800

The Klein Tools CL800 is a 600A AC/DC auto-ranging True RMS clamp meter with Low Impedance (LoZ) mode, rated CAT IV 600V / CAT III 1000V with IP40 protection. The 1.38-inch jaw handles standard residential and commercial conductors. LoZ mode eliminates ghost or stray voltages for accurate readings. Thermocouple input enables temperature measurement up to 538°C. Measures voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, and frequency up to 500 kHz on a 6000-count LCD with auto shut-off. Includes 41-inch test leads and thermocouple. Designed for electricians and industrial technicians. Covered by Klein Tools' 1-year limited warranty.

§ FAQ

What does the CL800 add over the CL710?

Temperature measurement via thermocouple input is the primary addition. Both share the same 600A/1000V/LoZ/IP40/CAT IV platform — CL800 is the choice when you need thermal readings alongside electrical measurements.

Does the CL800 have a worklight?

No — the worklight is added on the CL810. CL800 and CL810 share the same 600A/1000V/LoZ/temperature specs; the only difference between them is the CL810's built-in worklight.

Does the CL800 eliminate ghost voltages?

Yes — LoZ mode is included, same as the CL710 and CL810. Use it when you read unexpected low voltages on conductors you've confirmed are de-energized.

Can it measure DC current?

Yes — 600A DC in addition to 600A AC. Suitable for battery banks, solar systems, and DC drive circuits.

What's the difference between CL800 and CL810?

CL810 adds a built-in worklight for illuminating dark panels and junction boxes. All electrical and temperature specs are identical between the two.

What voltage range does the CL800 support?

Up to 1000V AC and 1000V DC — same as the CL710 and CL810, covering utility and high-voltage commercial distribution circuits.
