DEWALT® 20V MAX*/60V MAX* FLEXVOLT® 8 Amp Fast Charger

Model number
DCB118

The DCB118 is DEWALT's single-port 8-amp fast charger for 20V MAX* and FLEXVOLT 20V/60V MAX* lithium-ion batteries. An internal cooling fan circulates air across the battery pack to eliminate hot-pack and cold-pack delays, reducing overall charge cycle time. The compact, lightweight body weighs under two pounds, making it a practical addition to a tool bag or van rack. The DCB118 carries DEWALT's 1-year limited charger warranty.

§ FAQ

What batteries is the DCB118 compatible with?

The DCB118 charges DEWALT 20V MAX* and FLEXVOLT 20V/60V MAX* lithium-ion slide packs. It is not compatible with 12V MAX* batteries.

How fast is the DCB118 compared to a standard charger?

At 8 amps, the DCB118 is roughly four times faster than the discontinued DCB115 (2A). A 20V MAX 4Ah battery charges in about 45 minutes, and a 5Ah in roughly 60 minutes.

Does the internal fan make the DCB118 louder?

The fan produces a noticeable whirring noise during operation, but reviewers describe it as acceptable. The fan activates automatically when the charger detects heat in the battery pack.

Can the DCB118 charge a FLEXVOLT 6Ah battery?

Yes. The DCB118 is compatible with FLEXVOLT 20V/60V MAX* batteries including the 6Ah (DCB606) and 9Ah (DCB609) packs.

Does the DCB118 prevent overcharging?

Yes. The DCB118 monitors battery temperature and charge state throughout the cycle, stopping automatically when the pack is fully charged to prevent overcharging.
