The Delta Allia 72050 is a porcelain-enameled cast iron undermount kitchen sink that combines classic farmhouse aesthetics with the enduring durability of enameled cast iron. § FAQ

How does cast iron compare to stainless steel for a kitchen sink?

Cast iron sinks are heavier (often 100+ lbs) and require cabinet reinforcement, but offer superior noise dampening — water noise is dramatically quieter. The porcelain enamel surface is harder and more scratch-resistant than stainless and retains heat better. The tradeoff is that enamel can chip if heavy cast iron cookware is dropped on it, whereas stainless steel dents rather than chips.

What countertop materials work with the Allia undermount sink?

The Allia undermounts into granite, quartz, marble, solid surface (Corian), and other stone countertops. It is not recommended for laminate or tile countertops, which cannot support the weight of cast iron without additional reinforcement.

Does the Delta Allia cast iron sink come in colors?

Yes. The Allia line is available in White, Biscuit (off-white), Arctic Stainless, and several other finishes. White is the most popular and pairs with the full range of Delta faucet finishes. Champagne Bronze and Venetian Bronze Allia variants are designed to coordinate with matching Delta faucet finishes.
