Model number
9159T-DST

The Delta Trinsic 9159T-DST is the touch-activated version of Delta's best-selling Trinsic pull-down kitchen faucet. All of Delta's core kitchen technologies are included: MagnaTite Docking for a secure wand return, DIAMOND Seal Technology for a long-life valve, and Touch-Clean spray holes. Flows at 1.8 GPM, WaterSense certified, and ADA compliant.

§ FAQ

Does Touch2O require hardwiring to electrical, or is it battery powered?

Touch2O is entirely battery powered — it runs on 6 AA batteries with an expected life of approximately 2 years under normal use. There is no wiring required, making it as easy to install as a standard faucet. A low-battery indicator light alerts you when replacement is needed.

Can accidental touches trigger the Touch2O system unintentionally?

Delta's Touch2O technology is designed to distinguish intentional touches from incidental contact. The system requires a deliberate touch of approximately 0.2 seconds. In practice, brushing against the faucet while reaching into the sink does not typically trigger the sensor. Most owners report very few false activations after initial adjustment.

Can the 9159T-DST still be operated as a manual faucet without using touch?

Yes. The Touch2O faucet functions identically to a standard faucet when operated via the lever handle. Touch activation is an additional control method, not a replacement for manual operation.

What is the difference between Touch2O and Touch2O.xt (touchless)?

Touch2O requires a physical touch to the faucet body to activate. Touch2O.xt is touchless — it uses a motion sensor to detect hand presence and activates automatically without any physical contact. The Pilar 4338-DST is Delta's primary Touch2O.xt kitchen faucet.
