§ FAQ

What is the difference between a pull-out and pull-down kitchen faucet?

A pull-out faucet has a spray head that pulls directly forward and out of the spout, with a longer hose that allows extended reach. A pull-down faucet has a spray head that pulls downward on a shorter hose and typically sits higher. Pull-out faucets generally work better with lower-clearance installations; pull-down faucets are preferred for deep sinks and heavy use. The Foundations 400LF-WF is a pull-out design.

Does the Foundations pull-out faucet have MagnaTite Docking?

No. The Foundations line is Delta's entry-tier product and does not include MagnaTite Docking. The spray head is returned by hand or relies on the weight of the hose. If MagnaTite Docking is important to you, consider upgrading to the Trinsic (9159-DST) or Leland (9178-DST) pull-down faucet.

Is the Foundations 400LF-WF a good builder-grade faucet?

Yes. It is one of the most common Delta faucets specified in production homebuilding and rental properties. It provides reliable everyday performance at a very accessible price, backed by Delta's Lifetime Limited Warranty.
