§ FAQ

What voltage is the Super 33+ rated for?

The Super 33+ is rated for primary insulation of splices up to 600V. It is UL Listed and CSA certified for low-voltage electrical applications.

How does Super 33+ compare to Super 88?

Super 33+ is 7 mil thick and suited for standard-duty electrical work down to -18°C. Super 88 is thicker at 8.5 mil, extends the temperature range to -18°C–105°C as well but offers higher dielectric strength (10,000V) and is preferred for heavy-duty industrial splicing and cable jacketing.

Will Super 33+ stick in cold weather?

Yes. Its rubber-resin adhesive maintains adhesion at temperatures as low as -18°C (0°F), making it reliable for outdoor winter applications.

Does the tape leave residue when removed?

Super 33+ is designed to stay bonded permanently and is not intended for clean removal. For temporary masking applications, a painter's tape is a better choice.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes. Super 33+ resists moisture, UV, and varying weather conditions and is approved for above-grade and below-grade outdoor applications.

Is it flame retardant?

Yes. The vinyl backing is flame retardant and the tape meets UL 510 requirements for electrical insulating tape.
